PEAVY ALICE M. PEAVY, 57, was called to eternal rest on Nov. 20, 2014. Alice was a lifelong resident of Cleveland, OH. She was a highly skilled Special Assistant to executives at Price Waterhouse Coopers, NCB, BP, and other Cleveland companies. She started her career in publishing at Penton Press, and she became an Editor for the Cleveland Magazine in her twenties. Her educational studies included Journalism at Tri-C and IT at PSI Institute. Alice had a great love of gourmet cooking and reading. Whether simple or exotic, Alice's meals always delighted. She amassed hundreds of books, and was a Stephen King enthusiast. Her other passion was collecting Teddy Bears, and she owned over 500. Alice did not have children, but mothered many, especially her nieces and nephews. Alice was driven by her love of life, family, and holiday gatherings. She was affectionately nicknamed "the Colonel." Alice was generous in life and in her death. She was an organ donor and two individuals will regain sight from her selfless donation. Alice is preceded by parents Samson and Stella Peavy and brother Arnold Peavy. She is survived by her sisters Nancy, Shirley, and Linda; brothers Timothy (Tangela), Jeffrey (LaDonna), and Jerry (Cheryl); niece Ariana; nephews LeDelvin (Allison), Delbert, Antoine, Christian, Stedman, and Stefaan; great nieces Devan and Carrington; and great nephew Maison. The WAKE will be held at 10 a.m. and the memorial service at 10:30 a.m. on WEDNESDAY, NOV. 26 at Olivet Institutional Baptist Church, 8712 Quincy Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106. A repass will follow immediately after service. Arrangements handled by ROGERS FUNERAL SERVICE, INC., 13201 Euclid Ave., East Cleveland, OH 44112. The Colonel will be greatly missed.

Not sure what to say?

I miss you so much. I speak of you every day. It is hard.

GONE HOME, BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN HERE.

I've only learned of her passing today. I am sad and send my love to her family and friends. I worked with Alice at PwC and admired her knowledge, comaraderie, and meticulous attire. She's in my mind and my heart forever.

To Linda, Shirley, and Nancy-

So sorry to hear about dear sister Alice's passing. May God keep you and all the beautiful Peavy family in his loving embrace.

Deepest Sympathy,
Toni Mallory

To Nancy and the Peavy Family. You have been an example to me of what family love and loyalty is really all about. You stuck by your sister and whatever she wanted you did because you knew her time was short.
You will be blessed for your trials unmeasurably.
God makes no mistakes. No more suffering. You will see her everyday in something that you see, say,or do.
Stay close,and stay togather.
God Bless You All.

May this day be yours in paradise, and the Spirit of the Great Redeemer, greet your soul in eternal rest, forever more. What a beautiful sister inside and out she was. What a talent missed. God Bless and Heal this wonderful and very close knit family.

Gone but never forgotten, the memories and love will get us through, so dearly missed, love you until we meet again. Your Lil brother, Jerry

our prayers are with our entire family, GOD is our strength! With Love from cousins, Carolyn, Sarah, and John Peavy

My deepest condolences to the Peavy family. Alice was a wonderful, fun-loving person who will be greatly missed. May your faith in God and the closeness of the family sustain you. And may the years of joy you shared with Alice live on in each of your hearts.
