Not sure what to say?

I worked with Alice years ago at Arthur Andersen. We were both "floaters" in the secretarial pool. Alice was always so funny and energetic. She talked frequently about her nieces and of her days working at TWA. The last time I saw Alice was on 17th Street in center city as she was scurrying by with a package. I stopped her and we chatted for a bit. You could always count on Alice to be upbeat and pleasant - never said an unkind word about anyone. I am writing this so late as I just...

Dearest Alice. The kindest person Ive ever known. We had lunch at The Dive daily. Though I did all the eating. Her love of her family, especially her nieces was indescribable. I tried calling because of this horrible virus. She had become so delicate. I know she has a beautiful place overlooking the trees where shes smiling and sharing her stories.

One of the sweetest, most interesting people Ive ever met. Im sorry she was ill.

Alice was a dear friend of mine from our days at TWA. We had not seen each other in years but kept in touch through cards and occasional telephone calls talking about the old days and the present. She was always cheerful
and fun. I just learned of her passing today Feb 11 when I called to wish her happy birthday and her phone had been disconnected. I feared the worst and it was confirmed when I saw the obituary With sadness , I will miss you old friend.

I just last night learned of Alices passing and am so sad. I met a Alice at the swim club we both belonged to. She was nice and warm - with a sweet smile and eyes which sparkled. I loved hearing her stories of travel and adventure.

In winter months we would gather with a group for weekly happy hour. Alice lived around the corner from me, and though shed resist, I would sometimes walk her home. She had such great spirit and wonderful stories. Even when Alices health was failing,...

Alice has been a treasured friend for more than 40 years. She was an adventurous soul who traveled the world and was a witness to historic events in our country. She was creative, having written a wonderful (unpublished) children's book, which "starred" members of our dream group with whom she worked with for many years. The last 5 years friends Alice, Barbara, Jenna, and me (Elizabeth) met to celebrate our birthdays. Alice, with her humor, kindness, and joy, was and is, someone to celebrate...

I will miss you greatly Alicia my dear friend. What a sweet, gentle, loving soul. Always a joy to spend time with you share a good laugh. You brightened my life. May you now be surrounded by light and love always.

Thankfully memories never die. RIP my dear friend. Life was certainly much better with you in my life. 42 years of a wonderful friendship. As we always said 'forever friends'.
