Not sure what to say?

One of our greatest mentors!

What a remarkable lady! I shall never forget all the great visits to their home. Manny & Alice; the cream of the crop! Larry Clark

Oh how we would love to have Alice and Manny with us! We were indeed blessed to have them for as long as we did. They gave all they had to so many in need. Their lives represented examples of how we should live. May God bless their family for sharing them with us!

Some of my fondest memories from my childhood were those spent on Cable Lake at Allie and Manny Racher's cabin. Rest in peace beautiful lady. I am deeply saddened to hear of your passing. My condolences to the Racher family. I'm sorry for your loss.

I'm so glad to read this wonderful telling of highlights. I loved Alice, as did so many people. She was the essence of everything wonderful about Park Forest. What a role model for so many of us.

To the family,

The loss of Alice can not be expressed in words. She was a person rich in life who gave it all back to others. Alice and Manny were like second parents to Barbara and I. I had the priviledge of attending Cub games with Manny and many home visits with both of them. They provided professional care for our family for years. We will indeed miss their love and friendship. You have our deepest sympathy.

But what I remember most happily about her is her upbeat personality, how she always added joy to whatever we were doing. I have missed her since I left the area and now, though she was ready to go, she has left a hole in my universe.

As I look back from the early days that Alice, Manny, and I shared in Park Forest's beginnings onward, the two of them were the ones that we can point out and say that they "gave their all" to the community, often quietly, but with the greatest of impacts in our village. Who could not love Alice - whose smile radiated, whose respect from others gave her flow of ideas and good deeds credence to the very end. All of us who were privileged to have known her, called her friend for most of our...

We'll surely miss our dear Aunt Alice and Uncle Manny, with whom we cherished many wonderful Cable Lake memories, spanning five generations.
