Meistersingers was the highlight of my high school experience. Mrs. Riley was a wonderful teacher and mentor. She made it possible to be a part of the International Music Festival in Hawaii during my sophomore year. My most cherished memories are because of her and Meistersingers! I was saddened by the hearing of Sis. Riley's Passing. I joined Payne Chapel while attending PVAMU in 1980. I came with christian experience from Allen Chapel AME in Rockdale,Texas. I joined the senior choir. Ms. Riley was the church organist and you sung in the choir as a strong tenor. I sung next to Bro. Ezell and Bro. Mrs. Riley's influence on my life from 1972-74 directly encouraged me to consider music ministry as a career. She had a wonderful way of leading us to love music, and consistently pointed us toward the Lord. I am so grateful that she took the time to invest in me.
