Not sure what to say?

I miss you grandma.

Dear grandma, Your 98th birthday came. I had a dinner here for mom's birthday, but it wasn't the same. Tia and I brought you roses, big red and pink ones. I miss you every day, and imagine Christmas will be very hard to get through. You'll always be in my heart. Love, Lisa

Notes from Chi Rho memoirs session 4/30/1994 found among her papers.
YELLOW - Why did I choose yellow? Maybe I didn't have a reason but it appealed to me at the time. My first "long" dress was a soft yellow with blue trim, and that night at the Lion's Club party I was called "Swede". To a Norwegian, well that's different. My mother's favorite color was yellow; that can't be the reason. Way back before we bought this beautiful camp, our Women's Society (now WELCA) sponsored a retreat...

I was privelaged to know Grandma Rose and will be forever grateful for the way that she loved my husband, my children and me. The world was a better place because she was in it. We miss her so much.

Grandma Rose was the quintessential grandmother. From keeping candy in her purse to making homemade apple pie. She loved her grandkids, her gardens, playing cards (oop da-da-dah) and drinking her coffee (only 1/2 a cup @ a time so it stays hot). You couldn't ask for a better grandma. She meant so much to so many and will be sadly missed--but greatly remembered.

Great Grandma Rose was more than the word "special" could describe. There was never a time when she didn't have a smile plastered across her pretty face. She was an outgoing, over-generous woman with the biggest heart in the world. It's so hard to believe she is gone, but the memory of her and all the fun we had will dance in my head FOREVER. I Love you Grandma!

My grandma...I had her in my life for 43 years, and still that wasn't nearly enough. She made everyone feel special, loved, and well fed. She kept the family busy, and together. Christmas Eve will never be the same. I treasure all the time I spent with her, and that my girls got to know their great-grandma, something many people never have the opportunity to do. Grandma, can you believe it?? You are on the internet!!! (I tried to explain email and computers to her several times, but it...

My grandma was one of the most special people in my life, and I will treasure her always.

Alice was such a delightful person. We miss her! Especially the morning coffee bunch.
