Alice Louise (Capps) Sall, 96, Kansas City, Mo., passed away July 18, 2013. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 7500 Oak, KCMO. Burial will be held in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 22, at Mt. Moriah Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd., KCMO. Memorials may be made to Children's Education Fund c/o Calvary Lutheran Church. Louise was born July 25, 1916, in Sturgeon, Mo., the daughter of Arlie G. Capps and Ruby (Barnes) Capps. She graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia in 1938 with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree, and was a member of Lambda Sigma National Honor Society (National Society of CWENS), Delta Delta Delta Sorority, and Pi Lambda Theta Honor Society. Louise married her beloved husband of 49 years, J. Walter Sall, on Aug. 23, 1939, in Webster Groves, Mo., and taught kindergarten in St. Louis, Mo., before moving to Kansas City, Mo., in 1947. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, George Capps and Samuel Capps; three sisters, Virginia (Capps) Mansur, Ruth (Capps) Esser, and Rita (Capps) Neill; two sons, John W. Sall, Jr., and Joseph G. Sall; and a grandson, Kevin M. Sall. She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Kraus (Jules) of Kansas City, Kan., and Karen Hendrickson (Darold) of Fontana, Kan.; a son, David K. Sall (Kay) of Lenexa, Kan.; 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Daniel Capps of Rancho Palo Verde, Calif., and two sisters, Helen (Capps) Dillion of Boise, Idaho, and Joan (Capps) Blackmore of Columbia, Mo.
