Not sure what to say?

A tribute to a sweet, bubbly, people-person who loved Jesus and who knew where her ultimate destiny was, was a lover of bunnies, loved singing praise songs, thoroughly enjoyed cooking (and was incredible at it), was absolutely crazy about her children Adam and Carey, and both adored and was adored by her husband, Larey. She carried a warmth with her that was absolutely contagious. I will miss her tremendously.

What is Success?

To laugh often and much;

To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;

To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;

To appreciate beauty;
To find the best in others;

To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;

To know even one life has breathed
easier because you have lived;

This is to have...

Although we did not know Alice personally that well, we do know her daughter, Carey. Alice turned over her beautiful house to us for a baby shower for my daughter that was given by Carey. In fact, the day of the shower was when Alice was first diagnosed with this terrible cancer. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family.

Alice and I graduated together from Grafton High in 1970. After reading the thoughts and memories of those who recently knew her, I can tell she never changed. She grew and built on the strong foundation that she had even then.

Losing Alice has left a huge hole in our hearts. She was a friend extraordinaire! Alice taught all of us HOW to be a friend. She had the God-given ability to know exactly what we each needed in times of trouble, illness or sorrow. We feel truly blessed to have been a part of Alice's large circle of friends. It has been a priviledge to witness the support, love and care that Larey, Carey, Adam, James, Ron, William and Sheril have provided the last eighteen months. Our love and prayers go...

I will always remember wonderful memories from our time at Rocky Run and the show choir.It was my pleasure to get to know Alice and her wonderful family.Alice's legacy is the fine children she raised who will make this world a better place! You will be missed but not forgotten, Alice.

May you and your family endure these days of loss & arrive at a place of peace & understanding. Words are difficult in light of your enormous loss. We hold you close to us in our thoughts & prayers.

Sincerely

Natasha Lewis

For hundreds of adults and youth who went on Summer Mission Projects with Alice, she will be best remembered for her popsicles, her pranks, and her compassion (in addition to the delicious meals she provided, of course). Alice cared for all of us in her flock, as well as those whom we were helping. No doubt she will continue to send us all "care cards."
