Alice Katheryn "Kathy" Shaw

On behalf of Louisiana Women Veterans, we would like to extend our heartfelt sympathies to the family of Ms. Alice Katheryn Shaw, U.S. Air Force Nurse Corps. We honor our ladies of military service with this poem and we are grateful for their service to our country:

She is a woman veteran
Whose service was true
And she proudly served
The Red, White and Blue

She gave a part of her life
So others could be free
And without any hesitation,

Women Veterans of Louisiana is saddened to learn of the passing of Ms. Shaw. As a veteran of the Korean Conflict she shared her life to help those in need before, during and after the war. We thank her for that selfless devotion.
