Alice Shelley

I´m just found out the Alice has passed. I meant her at the WASP reunions and just loved her and Joe. She called me two years ago to thank me for sending out the Stinger. What a wonderful woman and couple they both were. Belinda

My family met Alice just a few years ago when she welcomed my mother Theresa, who was visiting from out-of-state, to her St. John´s community. They, along with a few others, would often head to McDonald´s or Starbucks after daily mass to chat. Her kindness, sense of humor, and faith will be missed by all.

Alice and Joe were the sweetest, kindest, most gentle people. It was a joy to know them later in their lives. The world is a better place because of their example, and as we also age, we hope to emulate them in some small way. Our sincere condolences to all of you.

Alice has been my friend for a long time. We played bridge together for many years. She was a lovely person.

Alice's being a sweet, strong, sassy woman. Her memory will be cherished; not forgotten. We'd call her to see if she'd eaten yet then head over to take her a meal and/or a sweet. Knocking and opening her front door "Alice, I'm breaking in!" with a smile and she'd laugh with "Come on in." And a 5 minute visit would stretch to an hour plus. We'd tell her it's nice to see you. She'd reply "It's nice to be seen." So glad to have her for our neighbor and friend.
