Not sure what to say?

I'm sorry for your family's loss. I didn't know until today that my neighbor, and my 1st grade teacher had passed away. Alice was also my daughter's teacher at Brookwood Elementary. My heart and soul aches for the loss of such an amazing lady. Alice you will always live on in my memories.

I too, am a former Brookwood student (late 1970's). It is evident from these posts how many lives the wonderful Mrs. Stanley impacted. As a teacher now myself for the last 22 years, I hope I can follow in her footsteps.

Alice will be greatly missed by all. She was a shining light on my senior bus trips for Kentwood Recreation.

As one of her second-grade students in the 90s at Brookwood, I probably gave her a few grey hairs at the time. She was one of my favorite teachers still and will be missed! What a wonderful and fulfilling life she led, serving as a leader and positive example to so many people. May she enjoy the Lord's company forevermore. God bless.

So sorry to you Lori and your family. I remember your mom from years ago when we hung out occasionally. She was always so sweet. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

With sincere sympathies to Alice's family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you share all the wonderful memories of your times together. She was always such a joyful person.

Mrs Stanley was my favorite teacher at Brookwood elementary. She was a kind woman and I have fond memories of her. She will be sadly missed ..God bless

I have known Alice for over 70 years. In God's creation, there has rarely if ever been a better person, and a better mother, and a better teacher. May He hold her in the palm of his hand.

My prayers and sympathy to Alice's family. She will remain in the hearts of so many children who were blessed by her special gift of teaching, and also in the hearts of the Brookwood Elementary Family, who had the privilege of working with such a creative,
talented, caring and fun-loving friend. We will miss you Alice.
May God wrap His arms around each of you, and bring you peace,
comfort and fond memories.
