Alice Taylor Storms, 72, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Monday afternoon, April 4, 2016 at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg, NC.  Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lumberton.  The funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m.  A private burial service will take place at Great Marsh Baptist Church Cemetery in St. Pauls, NC. 


 She and her late husband, Bill Storms, owned and operated Smithy’s Gifts in Lumberton.  She was a loving wife and mother, who was always finding ways to help others.   


 Storms was the daughter of the late Stuart and Leola Taylor.  She is survived by two sons, Billy Storms and wife, Meredith of Laurinburg; Bryan Storms and wife, Anna of Beaufort; three grandchildren, Kate Storms, Isaac Storms, and Charles William Storms; two brothers, Billy Taylor of Shallotte, NC and Marvin Bentley of St. Pauls, NC; several nieces and nephews including Debbie Theall, Lori Black, and Jimmy Shiverdecker.


 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 2000 Elizabethtown Road-P.O. Box 2249, Lumberton, NC 28358.

Have fond memories of Alice and also Bill. They were great and I loved Smithys. Alice worked her magic with all the lovely things and Bill was a master wrapper of.gifts. I will always think so them especiallly during holidays seasons. Prayers for Billy and Brian. And families
