Mrs. Travis' family and friends are in my prayers. She was a wonderful teacher and gave me a love for reading since I was 6 years old in her 1st Grade Class. May God bless you.

I met Alice in 1974 when I came to Liberty Elementary as a reading teacher. I remember her as warm and welcoming human being with the most wonderful laugh. She had a tremendous "presence" as a positive force and an exemplary role model. I am very grateful for the many kindnesses she extended to me while I was at Liberty. Mrs. Travis, I still remember being in your 1st grade class at Liberty Elementary School. I truly enjoyed being in your class. I will never forget your friendly smile. I was very blessed to see you at special church events. Thank you Mrs. Travis for being a caring and awesome teacher. Midway GA will not be the same without Ms. Alice G. Travis. We will all truly miss her. We are grateful for the imprint she left on our lives.

We will always miss you Mrs. Travis. My husband ,(Sweetdaddy) whom you called Edwin will always miss you. Every since I moved here in 1993 you have always been a true friend to my husband and family. When I leave for work I would see you at the mail box getting the morning paper. Some mornings taking the car cover off your car. I still look to see you. You are truly missed, by all of us. Your visits, encouraging words and your love for everyone will be missed by our family.

SUCH A WONDERFUL PERSON. SHE TAUGHT ME DURING MY SCHOOL YEARS, AND SHE WAS VERY FIRM AND A TRUE BELIEVER IN EDUCATION. MRS. TRAVIS TOUCHED SO MANY LIVES,SHE WILL REALLY BE MISSED. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU ALL.
