Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear of Alice's passing. As a preteen and teenager, I was a member of All Saint's choir when Mrs. Turner and Alice were the choir director and organist. Both very interesting and inspiring people. I will always remember her easy smile and that beautiful red hair. I will be reminded of her often as "her library" is only a block away.

- Deepest sympathies to her family.

I was saddened to hear of Alice's death - I worked at the J.S. Wood library from 1975 - 1980, and Ms. Turner was an inspiratation for professionalism and library service. I was happy to see that her legacy lives on in the branch named in her honour. My sincere condolences to her family.
Best wishes,
Laurel Marsolais (Tweddell)

I was very saddend to learn of the death of Alice Turner. Alice hired me in 1988 as the first Branch Head of the then brand new Lakewood Library--a great thrill and honour for me. I always admired Alice's strength and determination--she was a true "firey" redhead!

Byron,
Our condolences on the loss of your Mom.

Alice has always had a special place in my heart and memory. She used to come into Toronto and we would have wonderful lunches and great conversations at the Windsor Arms hotel. She was always so kind and thoughtful. I will always have very fond memories of her.

Although Alice lived many hundred miles away, she was a formative force in my development. As my father's cousin, she was held up as an example. Alice took me to my first movie, Pollyanna, in 1960. This was a great treat! She was also a lot of fun! Alice's light lit up many lives. I light a candle in remembrance of her life.

so sorry to hear about Alice .. she was a lovely person and I remember her visits to Ontario fondly ..

Sorry to hear of Alice's death.

Byron,

I am so sorry to read of the loss of your Mom. She would have touched so many lives at the library, what a gift she was to our city.
