Not sure what to say?

I was thinking again of my good friend Jerry's mom Alice. The summer time especially reminds me of the many times Alice was more like my 2nd mom than just Jerry and Elaine's! I was at there home as much, or sometimes more than, my own. I could perhaps have been a teen pest. I ate with the family and one of my many happy memories was Alice's wonderful German food sitting in the breakfast room or occassionaly the dining room. I know I am a different adult person from having known Alice and...

Dear Jerry & Elaine,

My belated condolences to you on the loss of your Mother. She was such a kind spirit and wise human being in so many ways, what a wonderful role model.

I knew your Mom for so many years, in that I've lived across from where the Levy's lived for forty-one years and had plenty of opportunity to know both your parents in the earlier years quite well. They were both incredible people and a joy to know.

I have so many wonderful memories and...

Elaine and Jerry,

My deepest sympthy on the loss of your mother. I knew your mother and father because they were dear friends of Albert and Elsa Levy. I worked at Jarecki's and talked to them everytime they stopped into the store. Your Mom was always so friendly. Elaine, I also remember Mr. Levy telling me many, many times that you were like his daughter. I worked for them at Jarecki's from 1963 until the store was sold in 1969 (when Herbert Dorfman passed away) to William J....

Elaine and Jerry,
Your Mom was an Erie icon. I cannot remember not knowing her. She was at the funerals of both my parents, always had kind words to say and was very proud of you and your families. She really knew the score, and was one of the wise ones. Thinking of you at this difficult time.

Dearest Weiss Family, We loved your parents, they were the best neighbors anyone could ask for. Alice was such a kind hearted soul and Eugene told the best stories. We will always miss them.

Your mom left you and your family a beautiful legacy. Prayers of peace and healing to you all. Barb Brozell Guelcher

Jerry, my deepest condolences. Hope I can make it close to 99.

Jerry and Elaine and your families:

I am very saddened to hear of your mother's passing. I hope it will help you to weather your loss by the knowledge that so many people were influenced by--and loved--her, and your father.

I know many of your friends including me "hung around" their home, not merely because of Jerry's great wit--but also because both of your parents always took time to make us feel we brash teens (and then even as brash adults) were welcome--and worth...
