My being a friend of Mary Rogers, Miss Aline's niece, afforded me the pleasure of attending two of her birthday parties (ages 105 and 107), and several visits with her at Highland Home. She was such an inspiration - keeping her daily journals, and showing her beautiful crocheted items, and having such a zest for life.
