Not sure what to say?

She will be missed. A late-night Google search for old acquaintances took me to this page. I have been in Korea for 27 years and did not keep in contact with Alison. Still, her warm smile and easy laughter are remembered fondly. My condolences to the family and those of you who felt a special closeness to Alison. She was a lovely person, and she will be missed.

alison, you were a friend and mentor the last 15 years.i don't think i will ever stop missing you. until we meet again then ,love.

I met Alison last winter when I was here in California for the winter months. I am so sad about her death. She was a wonderful teacher and so enthusiastic about art, her life. I will miss her.

I am in shock in learning that Alison Christler is gone! I saw her last in Encinitas in June and wanted to purchase one of her paintings. She was going to bring it to Fallbrook, but I never heard from her again. I have been thinking of her and wish I had known that she was ill, so that I could have been in touch. My condolences to her family. She was a wonderful, positive, beautifiul person, who will be missed. I am happy that I knew her as much as I did.

Alison I shall always remember you for your sweet kind nature. Your untiring wiliness to help others. Your delightful smile that lit up any room you entered. Your trademark hats you wore that made you recognizable even from the back of the room. You have left many indelible happy memories that I will cherish always.

Alison, I imagine that you are chasing your wonderful straw hats among the clouds. I so enjoyed working with you in our paint-outs, my very much missed co- vice president of the San Diego Watercolor Society.
Your friend, Suzanne Geller,La Jolla, Ca.

My heart is very heavy about the lose of Alison. I've been contemplating her paintings in my home and finding it hard to believe that she's gone...yet she is there in each brushstroke. My sympathy to her family and to her many friends.
Best to you always, Alison,
Susan

Alison was such a delightful person and always so enthusiastic about art and painting. As she critiqued a painting that had its flaws, she could find something wonderful to say about a section that worked and would exclaim gleefully "look at this ." She would encourage the artist to charge ahead and let the paint flow, literally.
I am devastated that she is gone, and I will always remember her wonderful smile and laugh. Alison’s influence has helped me to become a better painter and I...
