Dear Thor and Talia, I will always be thinking of Alison, and the so many beautiful things I learned from her. Tonight Matisse was mentioned as the only artist who.kept painting flowers thru WW II, I have a book from Alison on Matisse and her book about the Woman who brought Matisse back from the Dead. I so loved all her books. She was always pure love and loyalty and fun to so many of us.

I met Alison at Miep's 100th birthday party where I shared with her my friendship with Otto Frank and Miep. Later, she helped me with my book: We Never Said Goodbye: Memories of Otto Frank. She wrote the back cover blurb. She was a great lady and will be sorely missed.

A fond memory: When my family lived in Los Angeles, Alison brought Miep Geis to our home for a Shabbat dinner. My husband, Gerry needed to clean his eyeglasses, and then after he was finished, Miep quietly asked if he would clean hers and everyone at the dinner table smiled...
