Not sure what to say?

I can´t believe another year has gone by. You truly were like a second mother to me. I had to have surgery in Brazil and spent time recovering in your home. You showed such kindness and care for me and I never felt like a burden or inconvenience though I´m sure I was. Whenever I meet up or talk with other missionaries I think of you and miss you. Thank you for blessing my life. I´m sure you´re a blessing to those on the other side of the veil as well. I´m excited for the time when we will...

It´s been ten years and I think of you often. I miss your smile, your laugh, your kind sense of humor. You were a wonderful example of faith, happiness, and perseverance. Thank you for everything you did to bless my life and encourage me to continue down the covenant path. I know I am just one of hundreds, perhaps thousands who was blessed by your determination to live a Christlike life. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I did not hear about this until today from the Sheppards and I'm gravely saddened by this news. I did not know Sister Shawcroft that much but I was a friend of her son, Nelson. During high school we would go to his house once a week and Sister Shawcroft would prepare us a delicious meal. Her generosity is priceless, she is a true example of Christ and I will personally miss seeing her bright smile.

We are all saddened by the passing of our beloved sister. Sister Shawcroft, I treasure our emails throughout our son Alex's mission, and could never thank you enough for taking such good care of our son. You sent Alex to the hospital when he had a severe allergic reaction to cat hair and saved his life. He has endless stories of your love and eternal vision. Since you are a mere veil's width away from us, know that we all strive to be more like you, and in so doing, more like our Savior. ...

Sister Shawcroft, you know that I was not good at all about drinking water when I was on my mission. I remember when you said:" Sister Alencar, you need to drink more water. It will be good for you." and then I said: " but Sister Shawcroft, I dont like water. I like juice more." and then you smiled at me. Weeks later, we had zone conference, and I was leaving the chapel, I heard you calling my name "Sister Alencar, Sister Alencar, wait..." You were running, and I looked at your hands and you...

Sister Shawcroft was also my mission mom. I will miss her dearly. She frequently took time to write personal letters with her perfect handwriting. When I sent a card to her years ago as she was going through treatment, the letter she sent back was so kind and loving and inspiring that I kept it in my scriptures for the past several years. I remember how she struggled with Portuguese so much, but she never gave up. I stil remember many things she taught us missionaries. She is a wonderful...

Até logo querida mamãe Alison Shawcroft!

Dear Sister Shawcroft,
Serving on my mission in Campinas, with you and president Shawcroft was such a joy. Thank you, Sister Shawcroft, for teaching me love one another.
You will always be an example to me of how to live my life and treat others as Christ would.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to have served a mission and to have served under your guidance and care.
We love you so much.

Today, I said " Ate logo" to you Sister Alison Shawcroft. For 18 months of my life as a missionary in Campinas Brazil you were my friend, confident, nurse, doctor and spiritual mentor. More than that you were and will be forever the person that my heart choose as a mom. As I said before, I love you for many, many reasons, but the greatest reason is because you loved me first. So freely loved me first. I miss you, I love you and I will always love you. Eu Te Amo. My trip back to Rexburg today...
