Not sure what to say?

Dear Wendi and Family,
My sincerest and most heartfelt prayers are with you all. Surround yourself with all of your friends and take great comfort in each other and they will see you through this.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

I was a neighbor of Allan's when we were kids in Northampton, PA. I was in the same grade as he and his brother Scott through elementary school. Allan was a great kid, full of joy and energy.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Al will surely be missed by many. My most memorable years in the Navy were of my time serving onboard the USS Cape St. George with Al and CE Division. Al was always there for us then, and that will always be remembered. My heart goes out to the Andrews Family.

Dear Wendi and family, please accept our condolences. I am truly sorry for your loss, and at such a young age. I'm also sorry that Josh and I couldn't make it down to Virginia for the funeral, But I'm greatful that Walter is there as a pall bearer. We really thought Al was going to beat this cancer. Again we are sorry for your loss, please know that you and the family are in our thoughts and prayers always.
God Bless.

Dear Wendi, Spencer and Riley,
I extend my deepest condolences for you loss. I had the pleasure of being your neighbor and the distinct privilege of having Allan as a friend and mentor. Allan was a great American, outstanding Master Chief, dynamic leader and truly cared about his Sailors but always kept his family in the forefront. Simple put; he was a model of excellence that we all tried to emulate. His upbeat attitude and smile would always bring happiness to those around him. ...

To the Andrews family I extend my most sincere sympathies.
I knew Big Al from serving on board the CAPE. What I remember best about him was how he helped me and many others, realize and reach their potential. He honestly was one of the few people who I consider to be a "measuring stick".
Like many others, we talked a lot when we were underway. We spoke often of family and you could see that even though the man was mission oriented, he always looked forward to coming home to spend time...

ETCM (SW) Andrews was a consummate Navy professional. He cared for and managed best what mattered the most; his Sailors! I had the distinct honor of serving with Master Chief Andrews onboard USS CAPE ST. GEORGE (CG-71). When you wanted it done right the first time you called on Master Chief Andrews. The nation has lost a great Sailor and friend. Our prayers are with his family and shipmates. Fair winds and following seas Master Chief!

LT Jeffrey P. Little USN (Retired)

Wendi,
Words cannot begin to express the loss everyone is feeling. Only knowing Al for a short time, he was not only a man of honor and integrity but a man that loved his family, his country and his friends. His zeal for life was envied by many and he will be truly missed. You and your family will be in our daily prayers. God Bless!
