Not sure what to say?

Barbara, we are so sorry to hear of your loss. We are sending prayers and lots of love your way. Tina Gilbert and Bonnie Crace, Bonnie's Nursery and Garden Center.

Barbara,
May you find peace and comfort from family and friends. Cherish the good memories you shared. Go forward knowing you are in our thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and sympathy go out to the members of the Barth family. My husband, Ed Howard--who passed away in 2012--had many fond memories and good stories involving "Al Barth," who mentored him when he was a very young reporter. I know that Ed would want me to pass on condolences to your family, and to assure you that Mr. Barth was fondly thought of in this outpost of old-fashioned reporting.

Barb, in the Medicine Wheel, the East is Youth and Observing; the South is Teen Years and Listening; the West is Adulthood and Reflecting; while the North is the Elders and Sharing. The Elders were to be respected and to be learned from because they did the first three parts of learning. Allan certainly fit the Medicine Wheel. I always enjoyed talking with him at both the Kuss and the Summer Arts Festival. I shall miss his wit, smile, twinkling eyes and most of all him this summer.

I am so sorry to hear about Allen, he was such a sweet man. I know it is hard, but I hope you can take comfort in the fact that he is no longer in pain.... If you need anything you know where I live..

Dear Barbara and family: My heart and prayers go out for you. Allan was a very important influence on my life and work. From him, I gained important, enduring values about life and work and citizenship. In so many ways, he brought out the best in me and many others. I'm thankful for all that I learned from Allan -- including how he handled my rookie mistakes. I hope I was able to pass on to others what he gave to me. I know I tried. He is one of the greats of the Greatest Generation. I am...

Dear Barbara and Family, Allan was such a pleasant man to be around. I am very sorry to hear of his passing.Sincerely,Amy Smith

My brother, Allan, was the best big brother a girl could have. Will miss him dearly.
