Not sure what to say?

Last night we spent the one-year anniversary of our loss, at G-ma & G-pa's - G-ma is always at her best when she is surrounded by her sons, her grandkids, and her great-Grandbabies. The air was filled with the unspoken - but everyone's thoughts were on our sweet grandpa. We miss you always but all of the wonderful memories are a constant source of comfort.

He was such a kind man. A "rock," as I remember. Mom and Dad loved him and Virginia. I didn't know of his passing until today. They don't make them like this anymore. Virginia, I am so sorry. I will call. Marnie Milliken Harris

Mequon, Wisconsin

Allan Emory Cafferty - the name floods our hearts with emotion... You were so many things to numerous people – Husband to Virginia, father, veteran, teacher, coach, friend, and mentor. But, to Sam you were just Grandpa... beloved Grandpa who answered all his countless questions, watched television side by side in the cowboy bed, chuckled at his knock-knock jokes, strolled through the Warhawk Museum, time after time with Sam, each time pretending it was a new adventure. On your 86th...

Coach Cafferty was a good man. He was my track coach at Borah. He helped me in sports and in life. He was a down to earth guy who served as a wonderful role model for me and many others. Thanks Coach! My sympathy to the family. Terry Coffin -class of 1964

Al Cafferty was a great coach in sports and life. It was a privilege to be on his teams and be a guest in his home. My deepest sympathy goes out to Virginia, Dan, and all the family.

A well done tribute; thank you for capturing the horizon of a man who the whole family looked up to. Allan was well respected, well appreciated, and I'm glad to be a witness to this great big love of the Cafferty Family. Unending love, peace, and togetherness to you all.

Virginia and Family, Mom and I are so sorry for your loss. Keep all your wonderful memories of Al in your hearts.
With heartfelt sympathy.

Allan, I shall never forget just how kind you were about my first attempt at making gravy. When I apologized for the lumps, you just shrugged your shoulders and said you thought that was how gravy was made. As a new bride you helped give me the confidence to keep trying - just like you did with everyone you knew. Our hearts are so sad for your family. All are in our prayers.
