Not sure what to say?

Dear Diana and family,

I just learned of the demise of Dr. Conney. He was one in a million as a man, husband, father, researcher, friend and supervisor. My deepest condolences. The world is a little richer for his having lived and a little darker now that he is gone. He will be sorely missed.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

I will remember my Uncle Allan for many reasons. As a child I loved visiting him , my Aunt Diana and my cousins Steven and Michael in New York. As a child I didn't know anything about his accomplishments, only knew that he was special and gentle. As an adult, I will remember Allan for the warmth he shared with my children and the lasting impression he made on them with his magic tricks. My son Nathan and my daughter Meghan only met Allan a couple of times but felt close to him almost...

My heartfelt condolences to Allan's wife, Diana. I knew Allan through my sister, Flo Florek, who worked for him at the cancer research center at Rutgers. My sister always regarded him as kind, compassionate, and just a wonderful human being. He was also a comfort to my family when my sister became ill and he would visit and bring her information about her care and treatment. He was so kind. What a brilliant humanitarian he was. Those who had the opportunity to know him were very lucky. ...

Dr. Conney was a brilliant scientist but more than that he was one of the sweetest men to ever grace this earth. He always had a twinkle in his eye, usually brought chocolates, and his favourite topic of conversation was his family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those family members, friends and colleagues whose life is better for having known Dr. Conney, but sadder because he left too soon. Jude McLane and family

Soft-spoken, funny, kind, genuine and loving. When I talked to my Uncle Allan I always knew he was listening just to me, the way he would lean in and look at me, made me feel that I was not only loved, but in some way special. His professional accomplishments are incredible, and as now an educator myself I can just imagine what an impact he must have also had on hundreds, perhaps thousands of young scientists who would have had the privilege of working with him; listening and being heard. My...

My sincere condolences go out to the family, friends, and colleagues of Dr. Conney. He was an amazing man with a heart of gold. His loss will be felt deeply by all.

Allen Conney was my uncle. His wife, my Aunt Diana, is my late mother's younger sister. I will never, ever forget the first time I laid eyes on him. It was 1954 and I was four years old. He and Diana, who might not have even been married yet, appeared at my home bearing a beautiful brown teddy bear that growled. My cousin Debbie, who is the same age as I am, got one, too, and we both have ours to this day. Uncle Allen was the absent-minded professor magician uncle. I am in awe of his...
