Not sure what to say?

Allan is my good friend Lisa's Dad. Twenty years ago I first met him in China. He enjoyed the roast duck a lot and his cigar as well. I knew he is a professor but I never knew he is such an outstanding scientist with remarkable achievements. In my mind he is an easy-going elder, a wise and humorous gentleman, an awesome dad and grandpa, a helpful friend. It's my honor to know such a great person. I didn't know Mr. Hoffman well, but very much enjoyed the few times I had with him, Susan, Lisa & Bill, & their children, John Saul & Anna. He had a wonderful family, all of whom will miss him terribly in their own lives. Sending hugs & condolences to his family & all whose lives he brightened.

Love you always my dearest, RIP and keep on smiling!

My condolences for Allan´s family.

What a great life, and a great man! Thanks for writing and sharing his amazing life story... he will be greatly missed and fondly remembered!

Dear Family, Friends and Mentees of Professor Hoffman (Allan):
Please receive Wife Judy's and my most heartfelt sorrow for our loss. Allan was a friend, advisor and member of Committees I chaired or participated in. I presented at his Hawaian Anniversaries and presented the coveted Acta Biomaterialia Gold Medal to him. His loss isincalculable and irreplacable. In sadness, Art Coury, Judy Howie
