The link to the video shown at Allan's service is provided above. Thanks to all who left notes here, who attended the service in April and who expressed kindness in some other way. We appreciate the community of support and caring that you provided.

I just heard of "Big Al's" passing! I worked with him at Leigh. He also made me a scarf, which I love. He made it extra long because I was moving to Alaska. What a trip he was to work with! What a wonderful man! Sleep in Peace old friend!

I had the pleasure of knowing and spending time with Allan, what a great man. He spoke often of his childrens achievements. He was so very proud of them. My condolences to the family. I have a beautiful blue scarf/shawl Allan made for me. I will always remember him when I wrap up in it.

I worked with Al for many years and would just like to share a few thoughts-

After 29 years in fire and EMS Al never complained about responding on a call, not even at the end of a long busy shift

His face would brighten and you could feel the pride in his voice when he would talk about his children Mark and Katie.

On medical calls with patients over 50 he would treat them like they were his parent

He always liked to challenge boundaries including mixing oatmeal...

Your remembrance was very well said. I remember that conversations with Alan always kept you on your toes too for you never knew exactly where it would end up! Take care and we look forward to seeing the family.

What a lovely tribute. I"m so sorry for your loss, Minta. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
