Allan F. Mirsky

I worked with Dr. Mirsky at Walter Reed when I was a psychometrist. I always appreciated how our conversations went beyond my daily responsibilities and introduced me to other psychological topics. His encouragement is one of the reasons I am a neuropsychologist today. I will always remember him as quick to smile and easy to joke. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

I met Dr. Mirsky in 1978, while I was at BU. I was trying to get an internship as a computer programmer without much success. Dr. Mirsky gave me a truly amazing opportunity, to work in his lab at BU's Medical School. At the Christmas party Dec 23, 1978, Dr. Mirsky called me in his office and said "he could not add me to his grant, but would help me get a job". I had the pleasure of working in Dr. Mirsky´s lab back in the early 2000s when I was a grad student at AU. He was a sweetheart. What a lovely, kind and intelligent soul he was. My condolences to Dr. Duncan and family.
