It is with heartfelt sorrow that we acknowledge Allan's passing. Such a kind, talented man - we have been blessed to have him in our lives and will always hold him dearly in our memories.

+To Allen's family: Sorry to hear about your loss. Allen was the Commodore of the Diversey Yacht Club 1986. I was the Commodore in 1985. Again, our condolences to his family.

Allan was a good friend and student. When he came to me I could tell that he had a love for playing his horn and constantly showed that he was willing to learn despite the fact that it had been many years since he played his trumpet. He found his dream by finally playing in a big band jazz group, and the time that My wife and I went to hear him play, I could tell he was happy for this accomplishment.
