Allan Wagner was my PhD mentor in the Department of Psychology at Yale University from 1965 to 1969. I was shocked to hear of his death because I was told that he ran, rollerbladed and played tennis almost daily after he retired. He was a brilliant, creative theoretician who taught his students to be rigorous in everything thing they did in his lab.
