He was a great man and my parents, Bill and Rosemary Barton, had so many good things to say about him and Lois. My dad grew up with him in Peotone, where everyone knows everyone. Allen was well known and I'm sure there are many wonderful stories and memories being shared about him right now in Peotone. I know how much my parents loved being with friends with Allen and Lois. Very sad to hear about Mr. Carstens. While we were growing up, he was always a friendly and cheerful presence at all school games, functions, etc. Truly a nice guy.
