Allen T. Curry

Alan became a neighbor of mine about fifteen years ago. I always found him to be a perfect gentleman with a great attitude and a little humor.
We had visited each other on the road, yard as well as the porch.

I was saddened to see him suffering the last few years with apparent pain!

He had a good mind and wit as he suffered until the end!

I will miss our occasional interface.

I had the pleasure of serving with Allen in the Alabama Army National Guard and was always struck by his professionalism and overall good nature. He was a great example to all who knew him and I sorely missed him when he was promoted to Colonel and transferred to the Army Reserves. I am positive that he touched the lives of many of his students and fellow educators throughout his career as he did in his military service.

I attended and graduated from Ocean Springs High School in 1963 and worked for the Ocean Springs School District in several positions. Allen Curry was dedicated to the students and teachers of the District. He was such a wonderful example to all that worked for him. God Bless his family. Sincere condolences. Neiani Foretich Bennett
