Allen Flood Obituary
DR. ALLEN ATLEE FLOOD SR.
Passed away on March 27, 2022. Born in Cofield, North Carolina, he was a proud graduate of C.S. Brown High School, North Carolina A&T State University and Howard University Medical School. He was preceded in death by his sister, Renee F. Stiff, and his brothers, Dr. Roy D. Flood, Sr. and Merrill Flood.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Juanita; his sons Allen A. Flood, Jr. and Anthony A. Flood; one granddaughter, Ava Flood; and one sister Gladys Thompson. He is also survived by his sisters-in- law Yvonne Flood and Carolyn Flood Goode. Additional survivors include many loving relatives especially his nieces, nephews, cousins, and many devoted and caring friends. Visitation will be held at the Hines- Rinaldi Funeral Home located at 11800 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland 20904 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2022. A memorial service will be held at Dunbarton Chapel at Howard University Law School located at 2900 Van Ness St. NW, Washington, DC 20593. The service will begin at
11 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a contribution be made to the Howard University Department of Dermatology c/o Dr. Ginette Okoye, 2041 Georgia Avenue NW, Suite 4300, Washington, DC 20060.

My condolences to the Family of Dr. Allen A. Flood. He was my doctor for many years. We became friends from stories about life in North Carolina. I was born in Rose Hill, NC. He was a great doctor who gave me Self-Confident by controlling my medical condition. I will never forget his legacy of helping people. GOD blessings upon the family!!

Having attended with many others the memorial service this morning, I feel compelled to share my thoughts. Like countless other patients who have visited Dr. Flood's Office over the years, I felt a genuine bond with him not only as my Dermatologist for approximately 25 years, but also as a senior advisor, a friend who would not hesitate to give me his opinion about anything! Many years ago, I was referred to him while I was studying for the Maryland bar exam. I was experiencing a major eczema breakout like I had never seen because of my stress level at that time. Of course, all of that is history, but so many years have passed and I realize now that I saw him as much more than a doctor, but as family. His son, Anthony has also treated me over these years while receiving excellent training by his father. I look forward to continuing my office visits, knowing that Dr. Allen Flood's spirit of love, guidance and support will always be present with Anthony and his patients. God Bless.

Dr. Flood was the best! He has been my dermatologist for over 40 years. I will truly miss him--not only for his medical skills, but as a person with humor who made me laugh (I am afraid of doctors even at my age). His son, Anthony, will do great. He treated me once and I was very pleased as well. Rest in peace, Dr. Flood!

When I was notified of your passing it was like get puch in the stomach you have always brought me joy everytime I visited the office I have always enjoyed being your patient there will never be another you even though we had different taste in football teams we always had sports to bond over besides are patient care relationship you will definitely be missed and I'm sure that Anthony will continue doing a good job just like you did

Dr. Flood always wanted to educate his patients. I love that he carried around the big book with pictures of skin cancers, and warned me to wear SPF 60 and a big floppy hat. He truly didn't want anyone to suffer from unnecessary skin cancer. I'm sorry for the loss to his family, his practice and the community.

Dr. Flood was my sometimes dermatologist. I say sometimes because there was often a line. The man just hustled though - and served the DC Community very well. He will be missed.
