Allen Ronald Greco, aged 79, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2024.
Allen "Al" Greco's life was deeply rooted in Gilroy, his birthplace and home. A graduate of Gilroy High School, Al continued his education at San Jose State University, earning both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Economics before enlisting in the US Air Force, where he rose to the rank of Captain as a Nuclear Missile Launch Officer in the Strategic Air Command. While serving his country, Al continued his education at South Dakota State University, earning a second master's degree in Strategic Planning.
Upon honorably concluding his military service, Al transitioned back to civilian life in Gilroy, where he obtained his license to practice as a Certified Public Accountant and established himself as a partner in the firm that is presently Greco & Filice CPAs. Over the ensuing years, he served in leadership roles for the Gilroy Garlic Festival, held the position of president of both the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce and Gilroy Rotary Club, and was a founder and current Board Member of Pinnacle Bank. Al was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Greco, and brother to the late Pasquale Greco. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Michaela, mother-in-law Peggy, daughter Genessa, son and daughter-in-law Mick and Marisol, and grandchildren Venessa, Max, and Leo.
Al was laid to rest in a private ceremony. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Church, Gilroy.

Al always made sure that when people remember him they would smile, that they were touched by him in a way that left us with something cherished. In this moment I feel his presence with me and his love of experiences he brought to our encounters on his journey from physical to non physical. The highest praise of this individual whose ethics and experiences he shared are amazing.
