Not sure what to say?

How does one say good-bye to a person who was so kind and well-respected by so many people? I have known Al for many years, and never once did I ever hear him say anything negative about someone else. He was always upbeat, had a glorious smile on his face, and made people feel good about themselves. He lived his faith daily and was totally committed to Janet, his children, and his grandchildren. He was a solid person with values that I have no doubt made God smile. Al left us with memories...

Sue, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I knew your dad from UF sports. He was such a joy! Such a sweet guy. Always smiling and happy. Prayers to you and your family.

I got to know Al while playing softball with him in the Marathon softball league. At the time, Al was in his 50s and could still play with the younger guys. He was an outstanding pitcher and was the most enthusiastic and encouraging person I ever played with. Every time you saw Al, there were two things you could count on, an enthusiastic greeting and a firm handshake. After his playing days, he would still come to the park on occasion and watch us play. I always appreciated seeing him. I...

Janet, we are so sorry for Al´s passing. You have always been a wonderful couple to us. We will share missing his big grin! His competitiveness was contagious. I was able to have at least one great season on a Marathon inter-office softball team with Al. He competed with that same big grin! What a pleasure to get him smiling. And a friend to the end. Know that we will look forward to seeing you out and about and will have heartfelt greetings for you. Our sincere sympathy to you and...

Mrs. Holtzscher and family, I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Holtzscher passing. He was like a second dad to me for so many years! So many memories of all of us kids fighting to ride in the Holtzscher van at Mohican Lodge, and being so disappointed if the big kids (Becky's group) got to ride in the van instead of us! He always put on our requested radio station. How he put up with us, I'll never know. But we loved him so much! He will be missed, but I'm so grateful for so many wonderful...

So sorry for your loss. I knew Al from Marathon and also a backyard neighbor. Always had a smile. Keep smiling. RIP.

Wonderful family man!

I am so blessed to have known Al ( and his entire family). Findlay has lost a remarkable man and a great Christian Soldier. Heaven is rejoicing, I can hear it now! Rest in peace, gentle soul. Until we meet again... Nancy Wilczynski
