Not sure what to say?

My thoughts and prayers and with you and your family. Al was a great person as well as a good friend. My Dad passed away last May and seeing Al there although he was not in the best of health says a lot about his friendship. He will always be remembered with fondness.

Anne and Sarah, I was surprised to read of your father's passing in Dan Casey's column. I know you will miss him. Dad always thought so highly of your father. I lost my mother in 2004. I can tell you the best way to keep him alive is to store those happy memories in your heart. Love to you and your Mother in this difficult time. Carrie Ferguson, from Girl Scouts, now in Roanoke, VA

Anne, I was honored to read the article in the newspaper about your father! How I wish I would have met him! His legacy is evident in the family he has left behind. I have always admired you and Sam and the strong family you have build together. My heart is with you during this time of grieving the loss of your father. Tammy Bailey - FedEx Freight.

Anne: He must have been a wonderful human being. He and your mom certainly raised a terrific daughter. I know you will miss him frequently, but it will get better with time. My sincerest sympathies to all of you. I love you and am glad you are my friend. Penny

My life was enriched from childhood to adulthood having been Blessed to have known Mr. Levin for almost 40 years.

We are blessed having known Mr. Levin and will sadly miss him.

I deepest sympathy to the family of Mr. Levin. He was a true patriot,
and loving "Santa". He will be missed
by many.

I remember Allen from my time working at the VAH and later after he retired seeing him as I ran by his house. He was an extremely talented person but most of all was very friendly and gracious and always willing to stop and talk.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Levin meant more to me and my family than you could ever know. He gave me trumpet lessons and I remember Mother and Dad taking Fluffy (their cat) to him at Christmas so they could take of picture of Fluffy and Santa together. We still have the photo. He was already an angel walking on this earth. Sincerest condolences, Marilyn Smith Dean, Woodruff, SC.
