Al and I both worked in the Pipe Shop at the Upjohn Company and worked together in the same building for a couple of years in the late eighties. He always seemed to be in good mood and up for some laughs. We played golf together on several occasions and shared a hilarious moment that happened at one of the Pipe Shop Opens that always got both of us laughing whenever it was mentioned. I remember him talking about his daughter often and I could tell that he loved her very much. My condolences...

When I think about my time working with Al, I can’t help but smile. We were both pipe fitters. Although I can’t remember a single job we did together, I recall the important things about him. His smile, dry sense of humor, building a chimney for my house, stories of his pontoon adventures on the lake, golfing with him, the “S” turn story, and the times he’d yell “Get in a truck” which meant we’re going to the coal pile for a smoke. Al was a good guy and friend. I’ll miss him.

Rest In Peace to "Uncle Al". He was a great man and he will be truly missed. I have so many great summer memories of him. From his nicknames and funny responses to fun vacation trips - he always made us smile. He always was entertaining. He will be truly missed.
