Allen Lee Robinson, Sr. was born on August 3, 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the third child of the four children born to the late Albert and the late Catherine Robinson. Allen attended the Cleveland Public Schools and graduated from Max S. Hayes High School on June 13, 1969. He put his mechanical knowledge to work for the Lakeview Cemetery Association. Later, Lee, as his family called him, worked for Parker Hannifin Corporation and retired in 1991. For a while he worked in Detroit, Michigan as Director of Maintenance for Ford Motor Company. On July 22, 1986, Allen married Janice Travick. He was the father of two daughters, Alecia and Rosalind, and sons Allen, Jr., Andre, and Michael. Lee had the ability and acumen to tackle all sorts of home improvement projects; he was definitely the family's "Mr. Fix It." Along with his sister Cheryl, he inherited their grandfather Johnson's gift for gardening. Artistic in nature, he possessed a blessed hand when drawing. He was also an unpaid stand-up comedian and teller of outrageous tall tales. One of the most outrageous tales he spun was the one in which he convinced his children that the rapper Snoop Dog was a cousin. An avid sports fan, he supported all Cleveland teams. Lee and his best friend, Gregory Range shared a common bond through fishing. The bond they forged is now being carried on through their children. Lee or Al, as he was called by some, was the one that you could spot a mile away as he had a signature bowlegged walk that reminded one of a set of parentheses. He also had a gift for fashion most outrageously expressed with a blue jean jumpsuit, flowing scarf, stacked heels and "Superfly "hat. Lee is survived by his wife Janice, his children Alecia, Rosalind, Allen (Phyllis), Andre and Michael. He also leaves to mourn his loss, his grandchildren, Brother William, sisters Rev. Linda, and Cheryl, one aunt, Mrs. Jean Washington, two uncles, George and Charles Johnson, former wife, Sonja Harris, and a host of other relatives and friends.
