Not sure what to say?

I have so many wonderful memories of time spent with Ross and Cathy in Austin. Although his life was far too short, Ross was a man who enjoyed life and lived it well. I remember being so pleased when I discovered that we were actually 5th cousins, and I was honored to call him my friend. My heart goes out to the whole Scaife family and everyone else who knew and loved Allen Ross Scaife.

Cathy and Family,
I am so sorry for your grief and cannot fathom the loss to you and the community. God's strength be with you.

My deepest condolences to Cathy and the children, and to all of the family. Ross's memory is a light that will not go out.

A terrible loss for the world of classical scholarship. Ross Scaife was a man who saw possibilities that others could not see, and put in the hard work to make them real. We had hoped that he was just at the beginning of his career; now we must hope that others will carry on as he would have, with the vision that he left us.

My condolences and sympathies to Cathy, to Ross's family, and to his many friends. He was a good Virginian.

Cathy, Lincoln, Adrian and Russell: Our hearts are with you. Your husband/Dad was a great man. We have wonderful memories of Austin and Lexington....
Fond regards from Maine,
