Allan was a very good friend of mine. He was always in good spirits and was a pleasure to work with. When Allan retired from Steering Gear he refused to have a retirement party. He said that he wouldn't attend one in his honor! Result: we staged the party at his house. He had to come home sometime and we were there. We filled his house, told numerous stories, and had many great laughs. Allan will be truly missed. My condolences to his family and friends.
