A very nice fellow and I'm sad to hear that he has left us. I met him through the BMW Club of Northern California a few years ago and enjoyed shop talk with Allen.

I will always remember the adventurous spirit in constant display by Allen,.... a wonderful companion to ride with. I will never forget the back road adventure into Yosemite with my brand new 1977 R100RS riding on narrow hiking trails. Allen was more worried about me crashing my new bike than I was. We almost lost Allen down a waterfall when rubbernecking at the skinny dippers. "All this to avoid a park entrance fee."
