Allene Lee Obituary

Allene Lavada Lee
July 7, 1930 – Feb. 5, 2025

Allene Lavada Lee, born on July 7, 1930, in Pontotoc, Miss., passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025. A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Allene will be remembered for her unwavering love and dedication to her family and friends. Allene was a proud homemaker who loved gardening and canning her food and enjoyed sewing and quilting. She always prioritized her family and was a friend to everyone. She was a great cook and loved family gatherings. Allene was one of nine children raised on a cotton farm in Mississippi. She was well-read despite her lack of education due to missing school to help her family pick cotton. Allene met her husband, Glen, while she was out with friends in Porterdale, Ga., where he was stationed at Fort Benning. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Vian and attended until they were no longer physically able to do so.
She is survived by her loving children, Deborah Lee, Larry Lee and wife, Laura, Donna Yarnell, and David Lee. Allene's legacy continues through her grandchildren, April Stallsworth, Angela Jobe, Laura Ezell, Daniel Lee, Katie White and Chase Chastain, as well as her great-grandchildren, Avery Stallsworth, Leeah Stallsworth and Hayden Ezell and many other loved ones. They will carry forward her spirit and cherish the memories they shared with her.
Allene was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Glen Lee, her parents, Charles Milner and Willie Mae Milner and her siblings, Ada, Zula, Elizabeth, CD, Alfred, Vester, JD and Lucille. Each of them played a significant role in her life, shaping her into the remarkable person she was.
A Funeral Service will be held in her honor starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, and concluding at 3 p.m. at 463505 OK-101, Sallisaw. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating the life of Allene Lavada Lee, whose impact on those around her will be cherished and remembered forever.
