"She left him, once, twice, three times, maybe more, but she had a big heart! She loved his sweet, gentle mother, his sister and brothers. She loved his little niece and was thinking about making us grandparents. She loved him too.

On our many shopping days, we found a vintage, satin, mint green gown, with two rhinestone broaches. When she walked out of the fitting room, her beauty bowled me over!!! She looked like a 1930's-1940's movie star!!! She said she didn't know for sure if she'd marry him, but whomever she married, THIS was going to be her wedding gown. It is with devastated hearts that instead, we will be burying her in this gown. Young women, I implore you, if a man hits you, never go back!

Our Allie Marie was many things! She tried to always have water bottles and gave them out to homeless people around San Antonio. Once, she bought a homeless man a burger. By the time we got back, he had moved. She ran across FIVE traffic lanes to give it to him!!!!!"

Cherished only child and only girl in the Irish Holloway clan for three or more generations.

Irish dancer. Volunteered dancer at nursing homes when she lived in Illinois and danced for Augustana College Professor Janet Stodd's annual flute St. Patrick's Day performance. (Photos)

Primarily self and family taught pianist. Wrote beautiful sheet music! Placed 2nd in an Illinois Clavinova festival competition, with her original composition. She aspired to write musical scores for movies.

Soprano. Choir teacher, Stephen LaCroix, pushed her, made her sing songs she didn't want to...voice coach, Sharon Michaelsen, worked with her, even after her retirement! She was so excited when Mr. LaCroix said, "You nailed it!"

Upon graduation, in 2012 from JD Darnall high school, in Illinois, she attended a Berklee College of Music short summer program, in Valencia, Spain. She took four years of Spanish, but it wasn't until she returned home, to Texas, that she became proficient!

She was an avid snow ski bunny, but not so good with water skis. She took lessons from the Backwater Gamblers ski show members, in Rock Island, Illinois. See attached photos (funny look on her face).

She attended her freshman year of college, at Blackhawk College, in Moline, Illinois.

She was a Christian, but was interested in Judism, since our geneology research indicated that a distant relative was probably Jewish.

She did unpaid internships for the 2016 Austin Film Festival and for Austin's Mariachi Amor.

March 2022: Planted an apple tree and lit a candle to remember Allie Marie
The REVELATION from the Christ to Saint John 21:3b,4 ...and GOD Himself will be with them and be their GOD. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
Rest in the Peace and presence of Jesus, dear Allie Marie.

As I sit here in the wee hours this morning, I’m thinking of Marie. If I live to be 1000, I will never understand why such a beautiful soul was taken so young.

Though it is shocking to consider a year has already passed, I still think about the life taken too soon and likely will for the rest of my days. I remember sunny days, home schooled and tutored at her parents home as teenagers, when we would walk down the sidewalks of the road they lived on during "recess" and talk.

Marie asked if I cursed. I told her no, though it was a lie. She looked at me, and after a few moments of silence, said, "When I move out, I'm going to curse all the...

I miss my precious daughter Marie.

A beautiful life that ended too soon.

Allie worked with us at Avenue a couple years ago. I didn't have the opportunity to get to know her outside of work, but I wish I had. I remember how genuinely kind she was to everyone, employees and customers. Allie always had a smile on her face when I saw her. My heart breaks for Allie, her family, and everyone who loves her. I'm truly sorry for all of you.
