Allison Coleman Hendry, 32, of Flower Mound, Texas, who served in the U.S. Army from 1991-1997, a homemaker, died at Medical Center of Lewisville, Lewisville, Texas, on Thursday, April 18, 2002. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 21, 2002, 5-8:30 p.m., at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway, Irving, Texas. Vigil services are scheduled for Sunday, 7 p.m., at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, April 22, 10 a.m., at St. Ann Catholic Church, Coppell, Texas, officiated by the Rev. Msgr. Kilian Broderick. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri. Memorial donations are appreciated to St. Ann Catholic School Scholarship Fund, 180 Samuel Boulevard, Coppell, TX 75019 or Christian Foundation for Children and Aging, One Elmwood Avenue, Kansas City, KS 66103. Arrangements entrusted to Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, Irving, Texas.

Another year has already passed. Hard to imagine in been over 20 years. The memories of those times are still very much with me. I still hold a special place for Allison. What an amazing spirit she was. Best of the “Wiesbaden chicks” as I affectionately called them. Hands down. None could hold a candle to her. I remember Steve B was a proxy member of that crew. A bit of a wild case, she tolerated him (we all did). Those images come back and you have to smile. The cat she cared for...

Allison was special. She had a special way about her and everyone who knew her, felt the same. I remember her doll collection (which I worried about when she babysat my old cat!). We both loved volks marches and she made the tour tolerable and fun in Europe. I still keep her cross in my drawer and a picture of us having a picnic in the woods and her bringing me to church. She taught me a lot and the value and character she possessed. It’s been 20 years since her passing and it’s still...

Allison was a very special friend. I smile when I think of her taking care of my cat Sam when I had to go to the field for an extended period as Sam was a terribly ornery cat. Her claws were simply awful. But Allison, true to how she was, took that cat and trimmed ALL her nails solo without a single scratch or bite. It was amazing. When I returned to pick her up, the cat was very glad to see me.. LOL. Allison, you were a wonderful spirit and the loveliest of people. I'm transitioning...
