Alison with Marilyn

I loved caring for Allison We became friends while he resided in an alh I managed. His sense of humor was amazing. He especially loved talking politics with me. My grandchildren lovingly called him Grandpa Allison. He will greatly be missed and fondly remembered.

David Hite called today and informed me of Allison's passing. I had not heard and was saddened by the news. For nearly 20 years Allison and I worked together in one capacity or another. I quickly learned he was a man of high principles and honor. He worked as an Arco interpretative geophysicist and most importantly as a mentor for many young geophysicists first getting acquainted with exploration at the district office level. He worked and lived through the times of single fold records...

I too, in my 20's, worked as a Geophysical Technician at Arco and had an opportunity to meet Allison Prator toward the end of his working days there. He was quite a character and an expert in his field before computers were given the task of crunching numbers.

In my 20s, I worked with Allison at Arco in Alaska. I'll always remember him for the cigars he perpetually smoked and for his at times befuddling southern drawl. He was one of the classic "oil men" and all of us young-cub geophysicists admired and respected him. Rest in peace, Allison.

Allison Terrell, your country and countrymen thank you for your military service. Now rest in peace.
