Not sure what to say?

Alma: September 11th would have been your 111st brithday - and it seems so unfair that you did not make it to that date! Even though you made it to 99 year of age, you were still a vital, loving and fun person spend time with in your Point Loma homestead. Happy birthday, dear friend - we miss you at any age! Joseph, Daniella, Ana, Paul and Helen

Dearest Alma: Soon it will be your 111th birthday - with the past 12 not of this mortal existence. You were an amazing friend and community member to all of Point Lomans and to all of San Diegan you touched with your generosity of spirit and finances. Everyone who knew you misses you a lot, my friend. I know I do, as does my daughter, Daniella, who is nearly 17 years of age, who loved to play bocce in your garden. I look forward to seeing you in my dreams where we sometimes have lunch...

Alma: It was my birthday yesterday and it brought up a memory of you celebrating my father´s birthday only a few years before he passed away from a series of strokes. We played bocci in your backyard and even had a cake to celebrate. Thank you for that beautiful memory and so many others, too. Your compassion and love of him, my mother and myself is not forgotten, dear friend. Your kindness to those closest to you will always motivate other to become better people, too. Until our next...

Alma: Just wanted to say hello here, hoping that where you are now, you can see my words on this page or when I speak with you in quiet moments at night or on walks around town. Thank you for all the wonderful things you did for me and my family over the years. You are missed, my friend. Joseph, Daniella, Ana, Helen and Paul

Hi Alma: Has it been eleven and a half years since you left us? Seems like yesterday we were playing bocce in your backyard with my daughter, Daniella. All of your friends, neighbors and family members miss you, my friend. Love ya! Joseph, Ana, Daniella, Paul and Helen

Hey Alma: Missing you, my friend. I hope wherever you may be, you still have the opportunity to look over those you loved in your mortal existence. Until next time, my frend. Joseph, Ana and Daniella Di Lella

Dear Alma: Happy New Year! If only I could tell you in-person . . . You are missed, dear friend. All out love, Joseph, Ana, Daniella, Paul and Helen

Alma: As we are about to celebrate another Christmas without you, know that your memory is fresh in our collective minds and hearts. Hope to walk past the outside of your once lovely home and by your bocce court in January as we visit from Brazil. And when we do, I´ll be thinking of all the joy your gave your neighbors and friends . . . and all our friendly battles on the bocce court! All our love, Joseph, Ana, Paul, Helen and Daniella

Alma: Nearly 11 years since you left us . . . and although I always say this, I miss you, as do your family members, neighbors and everyone who ever had a chance to meet you. Your kindness and genuineness was unique in a world of people who simply wish to take advantage of others. I hope you can still hear us and feel how much we miss you, kiddo. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you in Heaven, my friend. Joseph, Ana, Daniella, Paul and Helen Di Lella
