To Renae and family: My deepest sympathy to you and Jim. I had the privilege of meeting your mother on several occasions when you and I worked together and she always had a smile on her face and a kind word to share. She was the epitome of what all women aspire to be - a gracious lady.

I feel blessed to have known Mrs. Futrell while growing up just a few steps from her home. It was a cherrished moment to get to talk to her everytime I would see her. My heart fell when I heard that God sent his best angels to get her and I am sure she will be one of his best. My prayers and love will go out to the whole family for there great loss.

I was fortunate enough to have three Ellis sisters for aunts--and an Ellis for the most wonderful mother ever--but Alma was an aunt like none of the others! Her style, her humor, her pride in her home, her joy in her beloved Guy and her children defy description. The way she never met a stranger that she couldn't convince that she was the greatest (and most beautiful!) of all the Ellis girls. How she could pile all her nieces and nephews in the car, along with her sisters, for a day a...

My heart goes out to you at this time and the days ahead.

Running into Alma at Maryview was always a bright spot in my day and I know for all of our patients and families. She was a beautiful lady with a beautiful heart and engaging personality. I was fortunate to have known her.
