Alma Christina Horta

Alma Christina Horta, age 61, of Banning, California passed away after a courageous battle with cancer,
on Wednesday November 7, 2018. Alma was born July 24, 1957. She loved spending time in her large backyard with her flower gardens and the grandchildren. She would push the grandchildren in a tire swing and pull them around in an old wagon. She spent her happy life as homemaker who chose to be home with her children, instilling life long ethics and morals. Alma was born in Los Mochis, Sinaloa Mexico and grew up in the Coachella Valley where she met her husband and married in 1974. They moved to Banning with their 3 children in 1987, where she spent the remainder of her life raising her children. She is survived by her Mother, Zenaida Ahumada Phares; Brother, Fernando Ahumada; Husband, Manuel Horta;
her three Children,Loretta Horta, Adrian Horta, and Manuel Horta, JR;and her seven Grandchildren,Cynthia, Aiyana, Angel, Manny, Angie, Arianna, and AJ.
A catholic funeral mass for Alma will be held Monday, November 19, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, 157 W Nicolet St, Banning, California 92220.
