Alma G. Mason

Mrs. Alma G. Mason, 89, of Scotch Plains, N.J., died at her residence Wednesday, May 26, 2010, surrounded by her family. Funeral is on Thursday, June 3, at 10 a.m. from the Rossi Funeral Home, 1937 Westfield Ave., Scotch Plains. Service is at 11 a.m. at St. John's the Baptist Church Scotch Plains. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. Visitation is on Wednesday, June 2, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Born in Ridge Springs, S.C., Mrs. Mason lived in New York City and Westfield, N.J., and settled in Scotch Plains in 1969. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Mason was predeceased by her husband, Charles Sr., in 1969. She is survived by son, Tyrone and wife, Roxi; son, Charles and wife, Matilda; son, James and wife, Marilyn; her five sisters, Daisy, Lucille, Rosena, Pansy and Anna, and her six grandchildren, Terrell, Sikandrah, Tisha, Jamal, Taralauryan and Kweku.
