Curran-Jones Funeral Home - Agawam Obituary

Alma L. (Scott) Mushrush entered into eternal rest on Thursday August 8, 2024. Born in Philadelphia, Pa. daughter of the late Edith V. (Blake) and Charles Scott. Alma moved to Agawam in 1967. Alma worked for several years as a dietary aid at the former Heritage Hall Nursing Home North, a switchboard operator and uniforms manager at the former Riverside Amusement Park and as a pharmacy technician/casher at the former Brooks Pharmacy. Alma was an avid gardener and lover of animals. Alma leaves three daughters and their husbands, Kimberly and Robert Hurley, Alice and James Couture all of Agawam, Suellen and John Mrzyglod of Chicopee and a son-in-law James Courtney of Springfield. Alma has nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild about to be born. Alma was predeceased by her husband Dale in 2021, a daughter Cheryl Courtney in 2016, her brother Ret. Colonel Charles Scott of Jonesboro, Ga., her sisters Mary Scott of Erie, Pa. and Edith Stafford. Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 24, 2024 at 11:00 at the AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME 745 Cooper Street. Calling hours will precede the service from  10:30-11am.
