Alma E. Rangel was a woman of immense wisdom, compassion, and dedication. Educated and eloquent, she was always passionate about language and learning, often offering gentle corrections to those around her, including her beloved grandchildren. An avid reader, she filled her home with books and stories, nurturing a deep appreciation for knowledge in everyone she met.

I remember when I first met this amazing woman or should I say had my first conversation with her, it in her home in Washington DC, during the CBC Weekend on a Sunday. Everyone came to the Rangels home before traveling back to NY. I had just found the wallet of one of the other guests, who I later learned was a Tuskegee Airman and that day, a major corporate executive.
