We will all miss u very much. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend because I am currently battling a serious health issue. I love u, Cousin Alma.

Alma E. Rangel was a woman of immense wisdom, compassion, and dedication. Educated and eloquent, she was always passionate about language and learning, often offering gentle corrections to those around her, including her beloved grandchildren. An avid reader, she filled her home with books and stories, nurturing a deep appreciation for knowledge in everyone she met.

My heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to my friend and colleague Congressman Rangel, on the passing of his beloved and wonderful wife Alma, whom I had the special privilege of knowing as a dear friend for over 60 years. Still remember Alma, fixing up a room in their Washington DC home for me to stay in every year for the Congressional Black Caucus Weekend, and house guess for the big backyard party. So hospitable! I remember when I first met this amazing woman or should I say had my first conversation with her, it in her home in Washington DC, during the CBC Weekend on a Sunday. Everyone came to the Rangels home before traveling back to NY. I had just found the wallet of one of the other guests, who I later learned was a Tuskegee Airman and that day, a major corporate executive. I gave her the wallet, she gave me a big hug and introduced me to the owner - Lee Archer. She said to him, this is why...
