This is my great grandma, I am named after her she was the sweetest person alive.

I worked with Alma for 12 years at the WCB in Menands. We shared so many good times. Clam steams, monthly outings. I remember her being such a good dancer. Alma always had a smile and was such an optimist. She made my day! Love you Alma.... Vonne Purcell

At every age that I knew her (and that's about 50 years), Alma always had what Dr. Sutherland used to call "the devil in her eye." She also always had something to share, even when it meant she would go without herself. When I last saw her she asked "Do I still smell good?" because she used to slide into the church pew behind me on Sunday mornings with her fur coat smelling like a freshly smoked Marlboro and my mouth would water! She lived with gusto and she loved hard--even when loving...
