He said that the Dr. hadn´t gotten all the stitches out. I went back to that Dr. & told her that Horton said that their were stitches still in my head. So sorry to hear this. I loved Dr Smith. He delivered my last two babies and performed my partial hysterectomy. He also helped me through a miscarriage. He was very caring and seemed to love his work. Prayers for Brenda and family. Patty Sandlin

God Bless you, Brenda. Treasured memories of birding with you and Horton at Guntersville.

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Smith's passing. I have such fond memories of him. He delivered 2 of my 3 boys - he retired before the last one came along but made it possible for him to be born as he performed the surgery to undue my tubule ligation! He was a gifted surgeon and a wonderful man. I am forever grateful for the care he provided. The family is in my thoughts and prayers, and I rejoice with them over the full life he lived.

Brenda, we never thought about how many years we would have to create and live the memories that began with Horton's mother and den of Cub Scouts on through Eagle and then, adult life. Sallie and I hold you and the family in our hearts and prayers. Joe Estes
